Africhoir
The Centre of Arab-West Understanding organised a student choir in October 2020. The performance alternated between singing, dancing and improvising.

Our student choir was formed in October 2020 and first performed with Christmas 2020 at St. John the Baptist Church in Maadi, Cairo. The songs included Silent Night, You Raise Me Up, Hallelujah and I will Follow Him and featured our student Deborah as a soloist who sang with singer Comfort Dickson. This first performance alternated between singing, dancing and improvising. See the full YouTube video here.

The choir is led by Martin Orbidans, a British musician who previous played on the Royal Yacht Brittannia for HRH Queen Elizabeth, her family and guests. He was assisted by Kevin Anozie, a Gospel music artist from Nigeria.
More musical events will follow. Talented students also learn how to play the piano.
